TREES Training & Lodging Facilities
Located at the entrance of the verdant Mount Makiling Forest Reserve, the Training Center for Tropical Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability (TREES) offers a complete array of training and lodging facilities suitable for training courses, workshops, conferences, seminars, special events, and recreational activities.
TREES' facilities are designed to be conducive for a wide range of educational and leisurely activities to optimally achieve not only group objectives, but self-actualization as well. The TREES main building houses five air-conditioned rooms for training and conferences session while other inclusions provided are training rooms, hostel and guesthouses, audio-visuals, and transportation services for training participants.
Adjacent to the TREES building is the 22-room TREES Hostel, which provides comfortable accommodation facilities for training participants. Guesthouses are nearby for those who opt to cook their own meals. Academic and leisure amenities are accessible within and outside the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) campus.
The 4,244-hectare forest reserve functions as an outdoor education and recreation area where visitors may enjoy hiking, camping, bird watching, photography or simply communing with nature. Training rooms and dormitory-type accommodations are available for guests.
TREES also has a satellite training venue in Baguio City. The TREES Northern Philippines office performs similar tasks with TREES in Los Baños, Laguna.
